Further to Sarah’s previous blog post, we will soon be running our first #BoldChat session on Twitter. We find tweetchats really useful as a form of ‘bitesize CPD’, and would like to encourage everyone interested in blended or online learning to join us.
The format for #BoldChat is a slow chat which means that you can follow and tweet at a time and pace convenient for you, throughout Friday 4th March, from around 09.00 GMT.
At 21:00 GMT, we will curate the tweets in Storify, and present them in a logical order so everyone can access them afterwards.
The questions we’d like to encourage you to think about are as follows (approximate timings in brackets):
- Q1. Why is blended and online learning important to you? (08:30 GMT)
- Q2. What are the hallmarks of a ‘good’ online course? (10:15 GMT)
- Q3. What are the hallmarks of a ‘good’ blended course? (12:00 GMT)
- Q4. What are the pitfalls to avoid in online or blended learning? (14:00 GMT)
- Q5. How do you learn about good practice in blended and online learning? (15:45 GMT)
- Q6. What blogs & Twitter accounts about blended/online learning would you recommend others follow? (17:30 GMT)
- Q7. What books or articles about blended/online learning would you recommend others read? (19:15 GMT)
We will release these questions throughout the day from our @GlasgowUniLTU Twitter account. Please respond to each one with the prefix A1, A2, A3, and so on. Remember to include the hashtag #BoldChat in all your tweets so they can be curated afterwards.
We look forward to hearing from you and seeing some exciting discussions develop! If you have any other questions you would like us to ask, in this #BoldChat or a future one, please comment below.
